This photo of New Zealand’s Wine Country is our travel inspiration of the week. New Zealand produces nearly 200,000 tons of of wine, making it the 17th largest producer in the world (2010 figures). I have never been to New Zealand, but it is on my travel list.
New Zealand makes some fantastic Pinot Noirs — and we all know how much I love this wine. Unfortunately New Zealand can’t be done in a quick weekend trip like London, but there airlines from every alliance that will get you there. What a great way to burn some airline miles – flying super long haul in a premium cabin.
Have you been to New Zealand? Do you have any recommendations for winery visits down under? What inspires you to travel? The good people at New Zealand tourism can help you plan your trip.
